I am interested in learning Finnish. Does the Finnish Institute offer language courses?


The Finnish Institute doesn’t offer language courses, but you can find information on learning Finnish from Finn Guild at www.finn-guild.org and UCL’s School of Slavonic and East European Studies at www.ssees.ucl.ac.uk. If you are interested in Finnish language courses in Finland, The Centre of International Mobility - CIMO will have more information for you at www.cimo.fi.


I am interested in studying in Finland. Who should I contact?

You can find more information about higher education in Finland on the Finnish Ministry of Education website at www.minedu.fi.


I am an artist and I am looking for an exhibition and performance space and help with arranging an event. Would the Finnish Institute be able to help?

The Finnish Institute does not have an exhibition space of its own. All our events are produced by our British or Irish partners. Our role is to introduce Finnish artists to curators, museums and galleries in Great Britain and Ireland and they will then decide which artists they will show.


Does the Finnish Institute have its own Events Calendar?

The Finnish Institute does not have an Events Calendar, but you can find one on the Finnish Embassy website at www.finemb.org.uk


I would be interested in an internship at The Finnish Institute. Who should I contact?

The Finnish Institute in London offers internships in its Society and Arts & Culture programmes, as well as in media and administration. You can apply twice a year, in March and September. More information about the applications can be found on our website during these months.
